On the way back home after buying Atlas Shrugged

, and some book from The Bourne Series
from a road side book 'shop,' wandering about a couple of shops as much as I could, running into an anylinde
doppelganger, and buying my first eyeliner (And it was BROWN!), and also marshmallows for Yusuf and me, the most poetic thing happened.
A party procession. Men with red flags walking around the Chinnakkada circle, totally disrupting traffic. People standing near the autostand cursing under their breaths. And I imagined a skyblue Plymouth which had two twins - separate bodies with a Siamese soul. Also spotted Velutha, who never usually wore a shirt, wearing one.
I couldn't help smiling. I had just re-read The God of Small Things during this study leave. (And cried for the first time reading a book, after Fred Weasley died). It was a difficult day, and I wanted to spend some time alone. And as always, it was well spent. I continue to prove to myself that I have the best time when I'm out alone.
